Meet Barry Rutenberg
History
Barry literally began learning the business from the ground up.
Barry’s first job was picking up trash in the parking lot of a job
site. He was shortly promoted to unloading lumber from hot boxcars in
the summer. The next summer he spent working for various construction
crews. This has given Barry the unique perspective of the building
process.
Barry Rutenberg has been building homes in Gainesville for over 33
years, during which Barry has built over 1,200 homes. Barry comes from
a long line of builders who all pride themselves on integrity, value,
quality and design.
Education
Barry attended Northwestern University for his Undergraduate degree
where he received his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He
continued his education at Harvard University where he received his
Master in Business Administration. Barry is continually being educated
to stay updated with the newest trends and developments in the
building industry.
Local and State Involvement
Locally, Barry has served on many associations and government
committees shaping the local regulations and our industry. Barry
served as the President of both the Florida Association of
Homebuilders, and the Builders Association of North Central Florida.
At the state level, Governor Bush appointed Barry to serve on the
Growth Management Study Commission. All Floridians are better
off with the implementation of the committee's recommendations that
continue to shape our community.
National Involvement
Barry's national involvement includes the Executive Board of Directors
of the National Association of Homebuilder.
Conclusion
Most of all, Barry enjoys the pride of having happy homeowners and a
team of associates that make it happen. This is why Barry has
dedicated himself to the homebuilding industry in so many ways.
